Laproscopy and Hysteroscopy
Gynecologic laparoscopy is an alternative to open surgery.Open surgery often requires a large incision.but in LAPROSCOPY, telescope is inserted in abdominal cavity to view pelvic organ through only tiny 10 mm sized incision on abdominal cavity.Laparoscopy generally has a shorter healing time than open surgery because it leaves only smaller scars.
Laparoscopy can be used for diagnosis, treatment or both. A diagnostic procedure can sometimes turn into treatment.
when diagnostic laparoscopy required :
- Unexplained pelvic pain.
- Unexplained infertility.
- A history of pelvic infection.
- Endometriosis
- Pelvic adhesions or painful scar tissue.
- Pelvic inflammatory disease.
When laparoscopic treatment required :
- Hysterectomy, or removal of the uterus.
- Removal of ovarian cysts.
- Removal of fibroids.
- Ectopic pregnancy.
- Endometriosis/chocolate cyst surgery.
- Adhesion removal.
- Vault suspension to treat a prolapsed uterus/vagina.

A hysteroscopy is a procedure in which a small-diameter 4 mm device is inserted into your uterus through uterus opening without any incision to see inside your uterus.
- For visual confirmation of HSG result
- For diagnosis and treatment of septum, adhesion, foreign body and polyps to discover any malformation of uterus and to correct it.
